What Wise's policy says
Wise distinguishes transfers involving regulated crypto platforms from payments between individuals. Its current help article says customers cannot use a Wise account to buy, sell, or trade crypto, and cannot receive money from another person for a P2P crypto sale.
Wise says it can reject transactions or close an account when activity falls outside that policy. This policy was reviewed July 22, 2026; always read the current source before making a transfer.
| Question | Wise's published position |
|---|---|
| Receive a P2P crypto-sale payment? | Not permitted |
| Buy, sell, or trade crypto through Wise? | Not permitted |
| Transfer to a regulated crypto platform? | May be allowed where Wise permits it |
| Possible enforcement | Payment rejection or account closure |
Technical support is not account permission
The underlying ZKP2P protocol can identify and prove certain Wise transfers. That technical capability does not mean Wise permits the transfer or that USDCtoFiat, ZKP2P, or Wise are affiliated.
Do not create a Wise route simply because it appears in protocol metadata. The payment provider's current terms govern the external fiat account.
